This is Day 3 of my Autumn Energy Reset series, where we walk through all nine days of Sharad Navratri together, one goddess and one chakra at a time. Missed Day 2? Read it here. New here? Start with the big picture in my main Autumn Energy Reset blog.
Welcome to Day 3! Yesterday your emotions started to flow like a calm river. Today we light the fire! When you feel steady and your feelings move freely, you have the space to stand up, speak up, and shine. So let’s wake up your inner sun together.
Meet Goddess Chandraghanta: The Fearless Beauty
Day 3 belongs to Goddess Chandraghanta, the third form of Navadurga. Her name tells you what to look for. Chandra means moon and ghanta means bell, because she wears a glowing crescent moon on her forehead that looks just like a bell.
She is a form of Goddess Parvati after her marriage to Lord Shiva. She shines with a golden glow, rides a tiger, and holds many weapons in her ten hands. She looks calm and graceful, yet she always stays ready to protect her devotees. The sound of her bell is said to chase away fear and negative energy, so her presence brings courage the moment you call on her.
It’s fascinating how she mixes two energies that people think do not belong together. She is gentle like the moon, and she is brave like a warrior. Picture the sun rising over a quiet hill. It does not shout, and it does not ask for permission. It simply rises, and the whole sky lights up. That is the energy Chandraghanta brings into your life today. She teaches us that real courage can feel peaceful, and that you can be soft and strong at the same time.
The Solar Plexus Chakra Connection
Chandraghanta connects with the Solar Plexus Chakra, called Manipura. It sits in your upper belly, just above your navel, and it holds your confidence, your willpower, and your sense of personal power. Its element is fire, so when it glows, you feel motivated, clear, and ready to act on what you want.
In Vedic astrology, the Solar Plexus Chakra links with the Sun. The Sun is the planet of confidence, authority, vitality, and the true self. A strong Sun helps you step into your power, make your own choices, and shine without waiting for anyone’s approval. So when Chandraghanta blesses your solar plexus, she also wakes up your inner light in a warm, steady way.
Your Solar Plexus Chakra Healing Practices
These practices are bright, warm, and uplifting, just like this chakra. Try one at a time, or stack a few into one sunny ritual. Go gently, and if anything feels uncomfortable, ease off and breathe normally.
- Soak up the morning light
Step outside or sit by a sunny window for a few minutes in the morning. Close your eyes, turn your face toward the light, and feel the warmth on your skin. Never look straight at the sun. Just let the glow remind you of your own inner light.
- Breathe into your upper belly
Sit comfortably and rest both hands just above your navel. Breathe in slowly through your nose and feel your upper belly rise under your hands. Breathe out softly through your mouth. Keep going for about 2-5 minutes, and let your belly stay soft.
- Glow like the sun
Close your eyes and picture a bright, golden yellow light shining just above your navel. See it growing warmer and bigger with each breath, until it fills your whole body with steady strength. Stay with that glow for 2-5 minutes.
- Chant the solar plexus sound
Take a deep breath and chant “Ram“, the seed sound of the Solar Plexus Chakra. Let it hum from your upper belly, and repeat it for a few minutes. Feel the vibration glow like a small fire.
- Speak a confident affirmation
Place a hand above your navel and say, “I am brave. I am confident. I trust myself.” Say it slowly, and let each word land.
- Stand like a warrior
Chandraghanta is ready for anything, so let your body feel that readiness. Stand tall, step one foot back, bend your front knee, and stretch your arms wide in Warrior Two. Hold it for a few calm breaths on each side. A gentle seated twist works beautifully too.
- Do one brave thing
This chakra loves action, so pick one small thing you have been putting off. Send the message, make the call, or start the project, even if you only spend five minutes on it. Small brave steps grow your inner fire faster than big plans.
- Eat warm, golden foods
Choose simple, cooked, filling meals today. Bananas, pumpkin, lentils, and warm spices match this chakra’s golden color and fiery nature. If you are fasting for Navratri, keep your food light, sattvic, and gentle on your body.
- Make it a daily habit
You can repeat this sunny ritual any day of Navratri. Chandraghanta’s lesson is simple. Take one small, brave step each day, and your confidence will grow like the sunrise.
The Divine Mantra
In the morning and evening, light a simple lamp and sit comfortably for a few quiet moments. Set an intention to stand in your own strength with a calm heart. Now connect with the divine grace of Goddess Chandraghanta by chanting or listening to her sacred mantra three times, or as many times as feels good, with a thankful heart.
Om Devi Chandraghantayai Namah
Feel the sound vibration glowing in your upper belly, melting away doubt and bringing in courage and warmth. Sit quietly for a moment and notice how your body feels.
What Comes Next
Now that your inner fire is burning, it is time to open your heart! Tomorrow we meet Goddess Kushmanda, who fills the world with warmth, joy, and creative energy. She connects with the Heart Chakra, the home of your love and compassion, and she belongs to the Moon in Vedic astrology. Come back for Day 4!
